NetStreams, the leader in IP-based Networked Audio/Video distribution, is furthering its commitment to train CEDIA affiliated custom installers in the latest technology in IP-based home entertainment.
The Austin-based company, which produced the industry’s first IP-based
“Networked Audio” system, will hold courses at CEDIA’s 2005
Regional Education event at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Foster City (April 15-19,
2005), to teach attendees about the revolutionary capabilities of IP-based audio.
Participants will learn all about the company’s breakthrough DigiLinX™
system, and gain CEDIA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for completing the
course. NetStreams is also teaming up with Polk Audio to show the benefits of
integrating Polk’s award-winning IP-addressable loudspeaker with DigiLinX.
The LC265ip is the world’s first in-wall speaker that can be controlled
via an IP system.
“NetStreams’ CEDIA Regional courses not only show and prepare attendees
on how to take advantage of DigiLinX’s capabilities, but award CEDIA CEUs,
so it’s a win-win opportunity,” said Petro Shimonishi, vice president
of marketing at NetStreams. “Our research projects that within three years,
80% of all multi-room audio systems installed will be IP-based. The DigiLinX
system is the first and only in the market that harnesses IP architecture to
allow installers to build audio systems with studio-quality sound, virtually
unlimited number of sources, and multiple rooms.”
`We love the DigiLinX™ system and see it as a significant step forward
in distributed audio performance and consumer convenience,` said Polk Product
Line Manager, Al Baron. `We specifically designed our upcoming LC265ip tri-amplified
IP-addressable loudspeaker to take full advantage of the performance and control
capabilities of the DigiLinX™ system to bring consumers sound quality
and convenience that simply cannot be matched by any other combination of audio
distribution network and in-wall loudspeaker.`
At alternate manufacturer active training sessions, NetStreams will explain
and showcase the unique abilities of the industry’s firs IP-based Distributed
Audio System—DigiLinX. DigiLinX is intelligent, easy-to-use, accommodates
unlimited rooms and sources, requires minimal programming, and features remote
diagnostics and upgrade paths. Polk Audio will discuss the challenges and solutions
to obtaining high performance sound when using in-wall and in-ceiling speakers.
Polk’s award winning IP addressable, DSP controlled in-wall, in-ceiling
speakers, and multi-room uses for the new Component XM Tuner will also be discussed.
