In the last few years, Harry and Mr. Greengenes have performed for close to
a million people and have shared the stage with such notable acts as Veruca
Salt, Better than Ezra, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Jefferey Gaines, G-love,
Cowboy Mouth, the Commitments, Marcy Playground, and Garrison Star to name a
few. Harry has also studied songwriting with Rob Hyman, songwriter and keyboardist
for the 80's band the "Hooters" as well as songwriter of the Grammy
nominated #1 hit by Cyndi Lauper, "Time after Time". Most recently,
Harry has had the opportunity to work with Grammy nominated producer David Ivory
(The Roots, Erica Badu, Patti LaBelle).
As a songwriter, Harry is a member of BMI and the LA based independent A+R
group TAXI. He occasionally speaks and lectures in schools and music camps about
songwriting and the music business. Harry holds a B.S. degree in Music Education
from West Chester University and was a former middle school and elementary music
teacher.
At the beginning of 2002, Harry started on a nine month project of writing
and revising new songs for a future CD as well as building his very own recording
studio in which to record what would be come his sophomore recording. As the
studio was completed, Harry spent the next 7 months wearing the hats of songwriter,
musician, producer, and engineer in completing what would become his long awaited
2003 release, "Hi-fi Virgin". "This new CD is so much more mature
and complete", Harry says. "I think almost every song on this disc
can be a 'can't get it out of your head' type of song. Every song has radio
hit potential. Every song is memorable and that's what people are drawn to,
including me, the songwriter."
With all that he has done and accomplished at age 33, his lifelong goal is
to someday win a Grammy. If his past is any indication of what the future holds,
this talented singer/songwriter will have many 'memorable' things to look back
on.
