High-performance technologies deliver easy-to-install 7.1 surround sound.
Creative (Nasdaq: CREAF) the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products for the personal computer and the Internet, announces the Creative® Decoder DDTS-100 and Creative® Inspire™ TD7700 7.1 bundle, comprising the Decoder DDTS-100 and Inspire™ T7700 7.1 speakers. These new products have been designed to enable users to enjoy rich, full-frequency hi-fi 7.1 surround in almost any home entertainment or gaming environment.
The Creative® DDTS-100 Decoder adds an exciting new audio dimension to home entertainment. This high-specification stand-alone system with its comprehensive multiple analogue and digital inputs can be connected to home entertainment devices such as home DVD and CD players, TVs, games consoles and MP3 players. It will deliver exciting digital surround to 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 speaker configurations, ensuring breathtaking results with music, games and movies. It will also up-mix any stereo sound source to 5.1 or 6.1 surround. Users whose PCs already have surround sound capabilities can still benefit from these by linking the PC to the pass-through port, with other home entertainment hardware connected to other ports for full decoding.
“This innovative system satisfies every need,” comments Leonardo Colucci, European Business Manager for Speakers with Creative. “It supports advanced industry audio formats including DTS®-ES, Dolby® Digital EX, Dolby Pro Logic 2 and DTS Neo:6, and it offers highly flexible output customisation via its wireless remote, including controls over each channel. Whatever entertainment a user wants to enjoy, the DDTS-100 ensures maximum audio impact.”
For a full 7.1 solution out-of-the-box, the Creative® Inspire™ TD7700 bundle delivers true 7.1 surround impact with movies and games. Combining the DDTS-100 Decoder with Creative® Inspire™ T7700 7.1 speakers, it supports Dolby® Digital EX, DTS® ES and gives outstanding results with EAX® ADVANCED HD™ games. It can also up-mix 5.1 and 6.1 content to 7.1 surround.
“This is a most versatile solution with highly realistic and powerful speakers,” says Leonardo Colucci. “The three central front satellites incorporate Creative’s unique two-way design, with a tweeter as well as a mid-range driver to deliver a more detailed and realistic sound stage. There’s also a wired remote and M-PORT™ connectivity for direct audio playback with compatible MP3 players.
“Modern games authors and film producers are building increasingly powerful and sophisticated audio into their products,” concludes Leonardo Colucci. “In the DDTS-100 and TD7700 Creative is responding with ultra-powerful solutions that are easy to install and deliver high-impact, immersive and fully-focused audio into the home.”
