Yamaha Ships New MW Series II USB Mixing Studios




Combines FX and powerful routing with USB 2.0 and Cubase AI4

NAMM – Austin, TX (July 27, 2007) —Yamaha Corporation of America announces the shipping of their new MW Series II USB 2.0 Mixing Studios. With added effects and expanded routing capabilities, these mixers are now bundled with Cubase AI4, a specially integrated version of Steinberg’s famed DAW, to form powerful and affordable home recording solutions.

Available in four models, the MW Series II USB Mixing Studios provide power and flexibility, while maintaining the ease of a one-cable USB interface and affordability for the home studio. All models feature ultra-low-noise microphone preamps and an innovative 1 knob analog compressor for dialing in the desired sound as well as assignable record out, channel switches, and monitor mix for fast and flexible recording options.

The MW8CX provides 8 input channels, including 4 ultra-low-noise preamps, as well as a digital multi-effect unit that provides a variety of reverb, delay, modulation, and distortion programs with parameter control. The MW10C adds an additional stereo input without built-in effects. The MW12C and MW12CX provide a total of twelve inputs, including four mono microphone/line inputs and four stereo line inputs. The MW12CX adds an internal digital multi-effects unit.

Bundled with the MW Series II USB Mixing Studios is Steinberg’s Cubase AI4, a comprehensive music production software based on the flagship Cubase 4 program that has been specially designed to integrate with the MW Series features. It gives you up to 48 simultaneous audio tracks and 64 MIDI tracks, a variety of VST plug-in software synths and effects, as well as full VSTi compatibility.
