Major US company to provide loan funds for SAE London degree students…
There's no doubting that SAE provide some of the most exciting new courses for new media education, including music production, web design and digital film making. And if you've ever been tempted to sign up for any of these at degree level, there is even better news because Sallie Mae, the leading specialist provider of student loans in the United States, has recently approved SAE London for its student loan scheme. The newly-created Sallie Mae UK offshoot will provide student loans for UK residents studying at British colleges and SAE London is one of the first to be approved under the new scheme.
Students at degree level will now be able to take advantage of this extra avenue for funding. They can apply for a credit-based, unsecured loan of up to £20,000 per academic year to cover tuition fees and living fees. Interest rates vary depending on circumstances and lower rates are available for students who can provide a qualifying guarantor, and there are also 'payment holiday' options which can be taken over the repayment term (which is usually between seven and 12 years). Full terms and conditions are available at Salliemae
The agreement between SAE and Sallie Mae follows a successful alliance between the two companies in the United States where many thousands of students have benefited from Sallie Mae funding. It means that students in the UK now also have another outlet to enable them to study SAE's vast range of creative music, film and web design courses.
