SCOM 5.5 runs in Native Intel Mode - no slow emulation - and offers blazing song compilation speed for the composer working on the Mac. Installation does not need prior Windows experience, and the application integrates with Mac OS X windows running at the same time together with the composer's other music software.

COMPOSER FOCUS

We asked users how Symbolic Composer fits on their composer profile.

Professional Composer (realizing pieces for orchestra or for films)

"SCOM steps beyond notation and enables to realize compositions with complete control on instrumentation and score structures like no other software can do."

Music Educator (university and music education)

"We use SCOM to teach music theory, since SCOM covers all the historical and contemporary composition approaches. It also lets the student learn all chords, scales and micro-tonal tunings. It is both in tune with the history and opens up the future."

Experimental Composer (searching for unique material)

"I love SCOM because it is so pure. SCOM lets me explore fractals, chaos, DNA, neurons and mathematics, and program my own algorithms. It's really the most wonderful tool I have never seen before for music composition."

Techno Musician (using lots of tools and software synthesizer)

"I generate unique beats and patterns with SCOM, and drag them on my sequencer for further tweaking. Thanks to SCOM I've now got full music pro grade without studying the theory for 10 years."
