MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, WASHINGTON - MARCH 2008: As part of its continued
commitment to the professionals for whom their Integrator Series of
cost-effective DSP processors are designed, Symetrix, Inc. has issued free
software upgrades for their groundbreaking Deuce 722 and Zone Mix 760
single-rack space processors.
Both units incorporate the proven technology
of Symetrix' SymNet brand of open-architecture DSP systems and deliver the
optimal feature set and I/O count needed for restaurants, hotels, sports
bars, nightclubs, retail, public address and more, at an amazingly low
price. Version 2.1 of the Deuce 722 and version 2.1.1 of the Zone Mix 760
are compatible with Microsoft's new Vista operating system and add support
for EAW's Smaart software. In addition, the new Deuce 722 software adds a
host of functionalities released in previous versions of the Zone Mix 760.
With the free upgrades available now at Symetrix audio, integrators
will be able to directly control the Loudspeaker Manager, Limiter, and
Output sections of either unit from within the Smaart software environment,
simplifying sound system tuning and room correction. In addition, the Deuce
722 adds support for the ARC-K1 Modular Wall Panel Remote Control, which
allows control over either, or both, of the Deuce's channel levels with one
wall panel, even from multiple locations.
The new Deuce 722 software also adds a number of small changes already
present in the Zone Mix 760 that increase its expansive function set. Its
analog control inputs are now fully implemented with each of the two inputs
supporting two switches, two control voltages or one potentiometer. The
External Control Wizard software now allows for additional fader and mute
linking for greater control flexibility. Like the Zone Mix 760, the Deuce
722 now permits integrators to designate "ON" and "OFF" presets that can be
triggered externally, providing the ability to create preset toggles.
Finally, the Deuce 722 features improved third-party external control via
Ethernet with a fully-documented control protocol.
The Zone Mix 760 offers twelve inputs (four microphone, eight stereo line
level) and six outputs, whereas the Deuce 722 offers two inputs (selectable
mic/line and dual mono/stereo) and two outputs. Both units are loaded with
all of the most commonly-used DSP blocks, including microphone
pre-amplification, compression, AGC, ducking, matrix mixing, paging,
feedback elimination, filters, equalization, and Ambient Noise Compensation.
Setup is easy and efficient with a straightforward Windows(r) interface
connected over Ethernet, now compatible with all of the contemporary Windows
operating systems.
