SYMETRIX INTRODUCES THREE NEW WALL PANEL ACCESSORIES

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, WASHINGTON - JUNE 2008: Symetrix, Inc., a leading provider of signal processing technology for the installed sound, broadcast, and recording markets through its Symetrix, SymNet, AirTools, and Lucid brands, will introduce three new wall panel accessories at InfoComm 2008 in Las Vegas.

The Symetrix ARC-2i Integrator Series Adaptive Remote Control Wall Panel, RC-4/RC-4e Remote Volume Plus Selection Wall Panel and MS-1/MS-1e Sense Microphone Wall Panel each extend the remote control capabilities of Symetrix, SymNet and AirTools systems.

The menu-driven Symetrix ARC-2i Integrator Series Adaptive Remote Control Wall Panel is a more cost-effective version of the versatile ARC-2 featuring a white plastic faceplate in place of the ARC-2's sculpted aluminum. It includes an eight-character backlit display that supports up to thirty-one scrolling characters, providing instant user feedback for control assignments, default settings and actions. Three buttons help users navigate menus, raise or lower values, and enable or disable the remote control. Twenty-four menus with up to sixteen enumerations each can be used to address multiple basic functions or initiate complex logic-based control events, such as gain, preset triggering, source selection, room combining and more in Symetrix and SymNet systems.

All control assignments, including item labeling, parameter limits and firmware version upgrades are handled within by software included with Symetrix DSP hardware. Power, control and a single channel of ARC Audio, passed over CAT-5 cable, are connected via RJ-45 inputs or screw-type barrier strips. The ARC-2i mounts into a single gang electrical box and is powered by its host device.

The wall panel's behavior is programmable as well. Menu brightness in"active" and "inactive" states can be set independently, so the display will"sleep" in light-sensitive environments like theaters. If the ARC-2i goes idle, it can scroll a message and return to the top of its menu tree. Upper and lower parameter limits help contain the range of adjustment and a button press lockout will prevent tampering by curious but unauthorized fingers.

The RC-4/RC-4e Remote Volume Plus Selection Wall Panel from Symetrix is a panel-mounted volume potentiometer, plus a six-position selector. Compatible with any Symetrix, SymNet and AirTools processor with two or more analog control inputs it may be used for volume control plus source selection or preset recall, for example. Configuration is handled completely within the software provided with the hosting Symetrix unit. Wiring is quick and simple, using standard four-conductor plus ground (STP) cabling to the Symetrix unit's analog control inputs. The remote control mounts in a single
gang US (RC-4) or EU (RC-4e) electrical box.

The Symetrix MS-1/MS-1e Sense Microphone Wall Panel is a panel-mounted microphone used with Symetrix and SymNet products that feature SPL Computer functions, such as the 371, 722, 760 and the entire SymNet line. Housing a single electret condenser element with internal LED indication of phantom power, the MS-1 can be used for automatic ambient noise compensation for zones within a restaurant, casino, retail environment or theme park. The panel mounts in a single gang US (MS-1) or EU (MS-1e) electrical box and fits easily into new and old construction mounted into walls or ceilings. A
louvered white metal plate offers excellent protection while blending in with most décor.
