Cowboy - The Next Releases from Smith Music Group

Smith Music Group is proud to present the release of Michael Martin Murphey Live At Billy Bob's Texas. Known as today's leading cowboy singer, Murphey has enjoyed a long and varied career. He's a hit songwriter, a singer, an instrumentalist, an actor, a filmmaker, and a cowboy/rancher.

Early on as a songwriter, he had songs recorded by The Monkee's, Kenny Rogers, Flatt and Scruggs, Roger Miller and Bobbie Gentry. He eventually began recording and his second release contained the self-penned commercial breakthrough song, "Wildfire." The Number One song was created from a story his grandfather told him about a ghost horse rescuing people on the desert. The album also contained another Number One hit, "Carolina In The Pines," and became Murphey's first gold record. He then went from the pop genre to country music and had hits with "What's Forever For" and "Long Line of Love." Now he has a home in the Western Music genre and is one of the hardest working cowboys, performing over 200 dates a year. Michael Martin Murphey Live At Billy Bob's Texas is proof that hard work really does pay off.

Next stop, the Country Blues ... on April 13, 2004, Smith Music Group will release T. Graham Brown Live At Billy Bob's Texas. This release is a collection of everything that makes up this unique and distinctive artist. His uncommon style -- soul, rock 'n' roll, country and blues -- paired with his unrivaled voice makes him a noteworthy artist.

As his songwriting career developed, he also became an in-demand singer of demo's and commercial jingles. That exposure quickly led him to a recording contract, a debut album and the emergence of hits, beginning with "I Tell It Like It Used To Be." His career continued to be adorned with Number One's and Top Ten's including "Hell Or High Water," "Brilliant Conversationalist, " "Don't Go To Strangers," "Come As You Were" and "Darlene."

Crossing country and Christian music charts, "Wine Into Water," became another emotional Number One hit for T. Graham. It's a soulful ballad about the battle of alcoholism, which he had experienced and overcame. Recorded at The World's Largest Honky-Tonk in Fort Worth, Texas, there's only one way to hear the arousing and ever soulful T. Graham Brown and that's T. Graham Brown Live At Billy Bob's Texas.
