SYMETRIX RELEASES v2.5 UPGRADE SOFTWARE FOR ZONE MIX 760

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, WASHINGTON - NOVEMBER 2008: Symetrix, Inc., a leading provider of signal processing technology for the installed sound, broadcast, and recording markets through its SymNet, AirTools, and Lucid brands, has released software version 2.5 for the Integrator Series Zone Mix 760 - an amazingly flexible audio management, paging and zone mixer.

The upgraded software adds five powerful features to the popular processor taking the functionality of the 760 to a much higher level.

Enhanced capabilities of the Zone Mix 760 v2.5 software includes an Event Scheduler, upgrade of Zone Routing to a true Matrix Mixer model, additional SPL-based automatic volume control (ambient noise compensation), expanded capabilities in the External Control Wizard, and enhanced Zone Preset flexibility. System designers, consultants, and installers will welcome the added features for applications in restaurants, hotels, sports bars, and nightclubs.

The Event Scheduler in Zone Mix 760 v2.5 allows scheduled preset recall by both time and day, thus permitting routing, source selection, and volume change automation. The Zone Routing section has been upgraded with a true matrix mixer model, giving users unbridled flexibility to route multiple zones to multiple outputs. With the modestly priced Zone Mix 760, integrators can now perfectly match a facility's input/output needs without compromises or workarounds.

For additional "user-proof" automation, the software update adds SPL-based automatic volume control to a third zone. Many formerly-internal parameters have been exposed to external control in the External Controller Wizard, giving installers even more options for setting up Symetrix' signature series of ARC wall panel controllers. Lastly, the system's Zone Presets now store the two program sources in each zone and each zone mix independently.

"The Zone Mix 760 already offered unmatched value for small to mid-sized installations," said Paul Roberts, director of sales for Symetrix. "This software update ups the ante for zone mixers. In addition, it answers requests from users in the field and underscores Symetrix' commitment to the integrators who make our processing a cornerstone of their work."

The Zone Mix's long-standing feature set includes: twelve inputs (four microphone, eight stereo line level), six outputs, microphone pre-amplification, compression, Automatic Gain Control, matrix mixing, paging, feedback elimination, filtering, and equalization. Setup is easy using a straightforward Windows(r) interface connected over Ethernet.
