The Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 software update for Mac OS X-based Pro Tools LE systems is now available. This software update provides support for Power Mac G5/G4 and Mac OS X 10.3.2 ("Panther") with Digi 002, Digi 002 Rack, and Mbox Pro Tools LE systems.
Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 software extends qualification to Macintoshes with speeds of 733 MHz ("Quicksilver") and higher for Power Macs, and PowerBook, iMac G4, iBook G4, and iBook G3 models running Mac OS X 10.3.2. Improved SCSI support is also included in this release.
Anyone running Pro Tools LE 6.2.2 software should update to Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 to take advantage of improved SCSI performance. Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 is also qualified with some older Macintosh CPUs, so if you already own an older Macintosh and have upgraded to Mac OS X 10.3.2, you can now purchase a new Digi 002, Digi 002 Rack, or Mbox system with confidence.
The Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 update is available as a download here and will soon be available through the DigiStore; it will also be available from your local Digidesign dealers beginning early March.

How to Get Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 Software
FREE Update for Registered Owners of Pro Tools 6.0 or Newer
The Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 software update is free to all Mac-based customers who own registered Pro Tools 6.0 or newer software. The update is available three ways:
• Digidesign Dealers — Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 software CDs will be available at your local Digidesign LE dealer in late March. Customers need an authorization code from Pro Tools 6.0 or above to authorize the software.
• Web Downloads — Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 software upgrades are now available on the Digidesign website here. These downloads are very large, so a fast Internet connection is recommended.
• Full installer CDs for Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 software will soon be available through the DigiStore for $4.95 US plus shipping and local tax, where applicable.
Pro Tools 6.2.3 Inclusion in New Pro Tools Systems
Full installer CDs with Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 software will be included in shipping Pro Tools LE products beginning May 10, 2004.
Pro Tools LE 5.x Upgrades
For Pro Tools 5.x owners, the Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 software upgrade is $75 US. Full installer CDs with Pro Tools 6.2.3 will be included in Pro Tools 6.2.3 Upgrades beginning April 5, 2004. Upgrades will also available soon through the DigiStore.
