Indianapolis, IN -July 22, 2005 - EDIROL today previewed the world's first professional Hi - Speed USB (USB 2.0) multi-channel audio support for Apple Mac OS X Tiger using it's UA-1000 and UA-101 USB 2.0 Audio Interfaces.

This eagerly awaited Mac OS X support is made possible due to advances made in Tiger, the latest version of Mac OS X and EDIROL's continued USB 2.0 audio development.

EDIROL pioneered USB 2.0 audio interfaces with the UA-1000 in March of 2003 and is now the first company to support multi-channel Hi-Speed USB audio on both Windows XP and Apple Mac OS X Tiger. EDIROL was also the first company to fully support and implement class compliant FireWire Core Audio drivers for Mac OS X Panther when it introduced the FA-101 in January 2004.

Kim Nunney, President of EDIROL North America commented, "EDIROL has made significant investments in leveraging the native processing power of today's computers and participated in the development of world standards for audio and MIDI. This investment in R&D allows us to be the first to implement these standards and have our products lead the way by being first to market. Our introduction of USB 2.0 audio support for Mac OS X Tiger elevates our market position to become the only company to fully support both FireWire and USB 2.0 Audio on both the Windows and the Macintosh platforms. This is great for customers, as they no longer need to agonize over which interface type to choose. Both have rock-solid performance and exceptional sonic quality. "

A preview beta version of the Tiger driver is currently available for download at: http://www.edirol.com/support/drivers.html and the official driver release is expected in the fall of 2005.

A preview beta version of the Tiger driver for the UA-101 is currently available for download at: www.edirol.net/products/en/UA-101/index.html. The official driver release, including support for the UA-1000, is expected in the fall of 2005.
