MEET LEGENDARY API FOUNDER & DESIGNER SAUL WALKER

This content is brought to you by Audiocourses dot com

REGISTER TO WIN AN AUTOGRAPHED API 550A AND API LUNCHBOX

NEW YORK, NEW YORK: Now's your chance to meet famed API founder and designer, Saul Walker, at the API Booth #626 during the first three days of AES 2005 NYC. It has been said that his design experience and audio history is at least as thick as an API Legacy console's operating manual. Saul designed such pillars of the company as the 512 mic preamp, the 550A equalizer and even the blue API 'spears' logo. Saul started API circa 1966-67 with about 15 employees. The rest is history - and one of the more fascinating audio stories around. This is a once-in-an-AES-lifetime opportunity to meet a real audio pioneer and also register to win an autographed API 550A mic pre and the famous API Lunch Box (a $2,200.00 value).

Having re-introduced the 550A at last year's AES, using Saul's original designs, API thought it only appropriate to ask him to come to AES and meet to our customers and friends. Saul visited the API plant several months ago, where API's director of engineering, Jeffrey Bork, spent time with him discussing engineering techniques and how API can continue to stay true to the brand as we move further into the digital age.

API is a name that is legendary in recording circles. More than four decades after its inception API consoles, equalizers, limiters and mic pre amps are all still voraciously sought after and loved by everyone, from home recordists to major engineers and producers around the world.

API remains the leader in analog recording gear, such as the groundbreaking API Vision surround mixing console, the famed Legacy console, the TEC Award-winning 7600 input module, and the new DSM Series of DAW monitor racks. The ATI Group is the parent company of Audio Toys Incorporated, API Audio and the Group Distribution Division. Audio Toys manufactures the industry leading Paragon II monitor console, the Paragon II production console and associated rack mount gear. Group Distribution is the exclusive North American distributor of the Smart AV console.
