SANTA MONICA, Calif. An innovative panel of music industry movers and shakers will convene at the 119th AES Convention Friday, Oct. 7, 2005 from 4 – 6 p.m. in Room 1E13 at Manhattan’s Jacob Javits
Convention Center, to offer insights into the far-reaching digital revolution currently transforming the global music industry.

Of The Music Industry: - takes place on the first day of the AES Convention
and will bring together a panel of award-winning experts from diverse music business disciplines.
The panel continues the exploration begun June 7 in Nashville, Tenn., where
passions ran high in front of a capacity crowd. Expect fireworks as the panel delves into many of the key issues of the digital age, with an emphasis on music technology and its dramatic alteration of business models. Moderated by Dave Adelson, Senior Producer/Music Correspondent for E! News Live, Executive Producer of WireImage Video, and Editor Emeritus of HITS magazine, this panel will bring its considerable combined experience and insight to bear on issues such as the shifting of business models, new markets and strategies, and just what it is that, ultimately, makes music matter.
Confirmed panelists include: award-winning producer/engineer/technology innovator and owner of GML, Inc. George Massenburg and Nonesuch Records President Robert Hurwitz (whose prestigious indie label roster includes David Byrne, Buena Vista
