TC Electronic Announces C300 Dual Engine Dynamics Processor

This content is brought to you by Audiocourses dot com

TC Electronic, inventors of the Finalizer, System 6000, and other products built on the company’s award-winning compression technology, today announced the new C300 compressor/limiter/gate/expander for live and studio applications.

C300 is a single rackspace dual engine processor featuring analog and digital I/O, with both engines able to operate in compression/limiter or gate/expander mode. The 16 compression/limiter presets and 16 gate/expander source-based presets give the user real-world starting points to execute complicated compression at the flip of a switch. C300 is an excellent match for both stereo and mono sources. The flexible routing provides all combinations of parallel and serial link modes, and the stereo serial mode allows the user to process a composite signal on both engines simultaneously. C300 will ship in May 2006 at $249 MSRP.

C300 is the perfect addition to PA and recording setups, fixed installations, and DJ systems where audio dynamics and transparency are at a premium. Based on years of research into dynamics, C300 utilizes TC’s thoroughly proven spectral compression in a user-friendly preset-based structure. C300 employs cutting-edge expansion and intelligent TC full-band and multi-band gating and compression algorithms which allow audio material to be effectively compressed without reducing the level of the entire signal when it exceeds the threshold. C300 also includes TC’s new style compression mode, based on parallel compression, which makes it possible to mix the compressed signal with the dry signal with a single button. New style compression allows the user to emphasize low level details, and bring out expression and character in vocals and other acoustic sources. The new C300 dynamics processor from TC Electronic offers engineers, performing and recording musicians and DJs an essential tool for optimizing any given audio material without having to adjust complex parameters.

TC Electronic, Inc. (TCUS ) distributes TC Electronic, TC-Helicon, Dynaudio Acoustics, and Lab.gruppen products in the US and Canada.
