SYMETRIX TURNS IN SUCCESSFUL NAB PERFORMANCE

This content is brought to you by Audiocourses dot com

Symetrix, a leading provider of signal processing solutions for the broadcast, installed sound, and professional audio markets, turned in a solid performance at the recent National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2006 Exhibition.

One highlight of the Symetrix exhibit was a live Podcast from the show floor by PodSqod.com's Mark Jensen. With prominent signage calling attention to Podcasting in general, and to Mark's live interviews in particular, that area of the booth was very active throughout the show. Interest in Podcasting, also referred to as "Alternative Media," is very high within the broadcast community, especially in radio.

Commented Jensen, "NAB was a resounding success for PodSqod.com and Studio1A Productions. Working along with Symetrix is easy because we all love audio and have a great time working with studio equipment."

Using an all-Symetrix audio chain consisting of AirTools, Symetrix, and Lucid products, Jensen was able to demonstrate to attendees what individual components did, and how they worked together to process microphones, mix those microphones with external source material, process the entire program for air, capture it to a recording device, and monitor the whole chain at various points.

Jensen's Podcasts were informational as well as entertaining. He conducted interviews in the booth with Tom Ray, vice president of engineering for Buckley Broadcasting; Bob Heil, industry icon and founder of Heil Sound (who also provided microphones for the event); and Trent Wagner, marketing communications manager for Symetrix. Each interview included discussion about features and applications of AirTools, Symetrix, and Lucid products in broadcast scenarios.

Dan Gallagher, executive vice president of global sales and marketing at Symetrix, stated "Podcasting is a hot topic these days, and we wanted to respond to it. We're getting a lot of inquiries from people who are discovering that our tools are behind a lot of what they hear on the radio. They want to incorporate our products into their work and improve the overall production value of their Podcasts."

Symetrix also used the occasion to showcase its latest two new Lucid products - the 88192 Premium A/D D/A converter, and the GENx192 Ultra Low Jitter Studio Master Clock. This last product was so well received by the broadcast community that it won the Radio Magazine Pick Hit Award. Both products are now shipping.
