Audio-Technica has introduced the ATH-M50, a new flagship pro monitor headphone. The new headphone features the company’s latest transducer technology, innovative engineering and design, and provides unparalleled sonic accuracy and comfort for critical monitoring applications.
Launched at Winter NAMM, the ATH-M50 features a closed-back design, employing Audio-Technica’s proprietary 45 mm large-aperture drivers, with neodymium magnet systems and CCAW voice coils. Engineering and design of the ATH-M50 headphones provides exceptional power handling and high SPL capabilities, with acoustically transparent, high resolution signal reproduction.
The exceptionally transparent audio performance, design and high quality construction ensures maximum comfort for hours of extended use in professional monitoring and mixing applications.
The ATH-M50 features an efficient collapsible design for portability and convenient storage. The closed-back cushioned earcup provides exceptional isolation in high volume listening situations, while the circumaural earpieces swivel a full 180º for single-ear monitoring. In addition, a lightweight and adjustable cushioned headband improves comfort for extended periods of wear. A coiled OFC litz wire cable at the left earpiece terminates to a gold-plated 1/8” connector with included professional screw-on 1/4” adapter.
The ATH-M50 will be available from April 2007, with an RRP of £99.95 inc. VAT.
