Plug Into The Experience
IK Multimedia is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated
AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ will be shipping in April. AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix is the first authentic software
recreation of the complete guitar amp and effects rig of Jimi Hendrix available in a single product,
offering all the rare vintage stomps, amps, cabinets and mics that contributed to make Hendrix’s
legendary sound.
Based on IK’s AmpliTube 2 and made in cooperation with Authentic Hendrix, the official family-owned
Hendrix foundation, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix is the first guitar amp and effects modeling software
focusing on Jimi Hendrix that can be used not only to recreate all the authentic tones of popular Hendrix
tunes, but because the modeled gear in this product is in such high demand by guitarists, AmpliTube
Jimi Hendrix is a fantastic tool for many styles of modern rock music from hard rock to punk, alternative,
progressive and pop.
IK Multimedia has gone the extra mile in accurately modeling all the most important components of the
Hendrix rig, not only using proprietary AmpliTube 2 DSM™ (Dynamic Saturation Modeling) technology at
its best, but by collecting all the original vintage stomps, amplifiers and cabinets of the same period and
fine tuning the software emulations by ear with accurate craftsmanship to achieve incredibly realistic and
authentic modeling results.
AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix features 9 vintage stomp effects, 4 vintage amp models, and 7 cabinets, putting
a complete collection of extremely expensive and hard-to-find gear right at your fingertips.
Among the stomps included are models based on the Wah used by Jimi Hendrix (which became his
signature sound in masterpiece tunes like “Voodoo Child”), various models of highly collectible fuzz and
distortion pedals, plus rare vintage effects modulation models such as a model based on the unique
Uni-vibe™ (a chorus/rotary speaker effects) and more.
The 4 included Amp-head models cover the entire range of amps that Hendrix used with The Experience,
both in the studio and live, from the British-made 100W amplifier Hendrix generally is associated with to
other rare vintage models of US-made amplifiers used by Jimi between ’65 and ’70.
All the matching cabinets of the Amp-heads mentioned above are included in the selection of 7 available
cabinets, and more. The cabinets were accurately modeled, equipping them with the same vintage

condenser, dynamic and ribbon microphones. Also included are 4 rack effects (Rotary Speaker, Stereo
