Introduced in 2004, NOTION is a music software program designed for composers, performers, teachers and students as a tool for composition, live performance and education. It combines a full-featured score editor with a built-in playback engine featuring thousands of individual notes and articulations played by the London Symphony Orchestra and recorded at Abbey Road Studios.

Workflow enhancements to NOTION 2.0 include real-time Note Audition, which use the high-quality samples from the integrated playback sound library or any of the 10 Sound Expansion Kits. Utilizing sounds and samples of the London Symphony Orchestra or expanded sounds of other famed musicians ensure the same quality sounds are used to audition notes as to perform the finished score. Another new feature is the ability to click and drag notes, symbols, articulations and more, as well as an improved delete function and other overall enhancements to the layout and user interface to help musicians work more efficiently.

NOTION 2.0 include enhancements to import and export capabilities, including improvements to Music XML handling. MIDI Import, and WAV file mix down. New functionality in writing for percussion, midi play-in, and adding chord symbols are just a few more of the numerous new features and enhancements that are in NOTION 2.0. .
