Integrated systems with the ease of analog and the power of digital

NAMM – Austin, Texas (July 27, 2007) —Yamaha Corporation of America is now shipping their new N Series Digital Mixing Studios, which combine Stinberg’s Cubase AI4 (Advanced Integration) software with new FireWire studio mixers to create a complete computer recording system with the familiar feel of an analog mixer and recorder with the power and flexibility of a completely modern digital audio workstation.

The seamless integration of hardware and software makes computer recording as simple as dedicated hardware units, including dedicated transport, track select and record ready buttons. Yamaha’s Musically Tuned Class-A Discrete Mic Preamp with Inverted Darlington Circuitry Design, Rev X High Resolution Reverb, Effective Musical EQ and Sweet Spot Morphing Compressors on every XLR input ensure the highest audio quality. The 12-channel n12 controls the entire studio by providing independent headphone mixes, talkback capability, and monitor speaker selection and control up to complete 5.1 surround systems. The n8 is a smaller, 8-channel version of the n12.

Also included is Cubase AI4, a special version of Steinberg’s legendary DAW with advanced integration features for the Yamaha N series, ensuring ease of use and seamless integration. Steinberg’s Cubase AI4 is a comprehensive music production software based on the flagship Cubase 4 program that has been specially designed to integrate with the MW Series features. It gives you up to 48 simultaneous audio tracks and 64 MIDI tracks, a variety of VST plug-in software synths and effects, as well as full VSTi compatibility. Synchronization with the N series Mixer is made easy with a Cubase Ready LED, remote Transport Control, Track Selection, and Click Track On/Off, a DAW Control Work Mode,
Wet or Dry Monitoring, and Project Templates.

The list prices on the N Series are $1,099 (n8) and $1,599 (n12).
