zplane.development announces version 1.1 of vielklang with RTAS support

Berlin, August 13th, 2007 (ictw) – Today zplane.development announced the impending release of vielklang 1.1. vielklang is an audio harmonization instrument for easy generation of vocal or instrumental harmonies with up to four voices. The utilization of voice leading and harmony progression models allows vielklang to create harmony parts in a more musical way than other harmony processors and makes it a versatile tool for musicians, songwriters and producers. vielklang 1.1 will be available in September for RTAS (Mac OS X, Windows), VST (Mac OS X, Windows) and Audio Units (Mac OS X) at a MSRP of $249.00/€179.00

Version 1.1 now offers support for the RTAS interface and includes the following new features:

· two-voice harmonization mode, generating only a second voice in a typical backing vocal style

· availability of 7th chords

· timing humanization control

· single note splitting and muting

· export to audio and midi for all plugin interfaces

About vielklang
With vielklang musicians can easily generate and prototype natural sounding background vocals, brass sections, modify melodies and single-voiced loops in terms of pitch and scale, and experiment with various harmonizations or chords triggered by different MIDI-inputs. It allows synthesizing up to four voices, editing harmonies and single pitches, and converting audio to MIDI.

The four voices are not moving merely in parallel, their individual progression is controlled by a complete set of voice leading rules and sophisticated harmony progression models. This musical intelligence and knowledge allows for the user to completely focus on musical issues rather than technical or theoretical ones. vielklang helps to achieve musically meaningful results without having to bother about root note, scale, tuning frequency, harmony progression and voice leading.

While vielklang will provide instant and meaningful results, experienced users have the option to change harmonization parameters like range (ambitus) or the distribution of the voices, to modify root note and scale, to edit single harmonies and to change each single pitch of each individual voice.
