One of the World’s Leading Post Production Studios Invests in the Future with State-of-the-Art DFC Digital Film Consoles

BURNLEY, LANCASHIRE, U.K., (Sept 28, 2007) — AMS Neve Ltd. has announced that the world-renowned POP Sound Studios in Los Angeles will soon install five DFC Digital Film consoles into its Home Theatre studios. These significant installations will be used to mix a wide range of POP Sound’s high-profile projects, reinforcing the Academy Award®-winning DFC’s position as the industry-leading film mixing console.

“We are immensely pleased to see POP Studios become such a strong ‘AMS-Neve house’,” commented Frank Massam, Vice President of Business Development at AMS Neve Ltd. “POP Sound is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading post-production facilities; as such, they can choose any console format they please. So their decision to go with five DFC consoles says something about the quality and sophistication of our product.”

Specifically, POP Sound plans to install two full-featured DFC Digital Film Consoles and three smaller DFC PS1 Digital Film Consoles into their Home Theatre rooms. The studio is pushing some technical boundaries in this area—mixing at 96kHz in 7.1 Surround format—and the DFC console’s ability to easily handle these requirements, combined with its legendary ease of use, was instrumental in POP Sound’s decision.

Founded in 1994, POP Sound has rapidly become one of the leading post-production facilities in the world. With impressive major studio clients including Sony, Paramount, and LionsGate, along with a range of top advertising and creative firms, this no-compromise facility offers Surround and DVD mixing for both new and classic films, as well as award-winning mixing for some of the world’s best television spots.

Introduced over ten years ago, the Academy Award®-winning AMS Neve DFC was the first true multi-operator Digital Film Console. To this day, it remains the mixing platform for the majority of each year's top-grossing films and high-profile television spots.

Studios interested in purchasing a DFC console or upgrading and existing system are encouraged to contact their local representative via Ams-neve .
