SYMETRIX RELEASES VERSION 2.1 OF ZONE MIX 760 SOFTWARE

This content is brought to you by Audiocourses dot com

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, WASHINGTON: Symetrix has released version 2.1 of the Integrator Series Zone Mix 760 paging and music management system, which is designed to deliver the optimal feature set and I/O count needed for restaurants, hotels, sports bars and nightclubs at a groundbreaking price.

The new release is consistent with the company's high value philosophy and further enhances the Zone Mix 760's already rich feature set.

With version 2.1, Symetrix, a leading provider of signal processing technology for the installed sound market, solidifies external control by adding full support for the entire family of Modular ARCs, including the K1, SW4, SWK, MIC and XLR models. Both the ARC-MIC and ARC-XLR - which respectively offer a built-in condenser mic and an XLR input source - are totally integrated into the system's Page Station functionality under version 2.1. Each wall panel can function as a self-contained paging station with zone groups and push-to-talk.

All Zone Mix 760 hardware units shipped since December 2007 include an RS-232 port, and version 2.1 software brings a fully-documented third party control protocol for use over IP or the new RS-232 port.

Also in the new software, an option for "Off" Presets has been added for the Switch inputs and for Modular ARCs that feature buttons. This provides the ability to create preset toggles. In version 2.0, Symetrix added support for linking certain sets of zone, output faders and mutes for ease of use. Version 2.1 expands upon that, introducing additional fader and mute linking capabilities for greater control flexibility.

The Zone Mix 760 offers twelve inputs (four microphone, eight stereo line level) and six outputs, and was the product that launched the new Integrator Series, which incorporates processing taken directly from the proven technology embodied in the SymNet(tm) DSP toolbox. The 760 features microphone pre-amplification, compression, AGC, matrix mixing, paging, feedback elimination, filters and equalization, and Ambient Noise Compensation within a single rack space. Setup is easy and efficient with a straightforward Windows(r) interface connected over Ethernet. The 760 is compatible with the full line of Symetrix Adaptive Remote Control (ARC) wall panels for user control.
