Cingular is first carrier to provide authentic music content from all major record companies including Universal, BMG, Sony Music and EMI

ATLANTA - Cingular Wireless, the second largest wireless carrier in the nation, today announced mobile customers can now jazz up their ringtones with clips of actual recorded music by original artists as part of its Music Tones collection. Music Tones is part of Cingular's Super Tones suite of wireless downloadable ringtones that allow customers to enhance their personal, mobile experience. And thanks to content provider InfoSpace Mobile(TM) and their leading Moviso mobile media content publishing and aggregation services, Cingular becomes the first wireless carrier to provide ringtones from the top record companies including Universal, BMG, Sony Music and EMI.

Cingular's Music Tones allow subscribers to select clips of original artist recordings, from a library of original songs from several music categories, including Alternative/Rock, Hip Hop/R&B, Pop and Latin.

Among the initial library of available ringtones, with more added each month, Music Tones include original artist song titles from all five major record companies. A sample of artists from each label includes:

- Universal Music Group -- 50 Cent, Sting, Black Eyed Peas, Sheryl Crow
- BMG Music -- Britney Spears, Kelis, Christina Aguilera, Clay Aiken
- Sony Music Entertainment -- Beyonce, John Mayer, AC/DC, Jessica Simpson
- EMI Recorded Music -- Coldplay, Chingy, Jane's Addiction, Norah Jones

In addition to Music Tones, Cingular's Super Tones suite also features Sound Tones and Voice Tones. Sound Tones allow customers to customize ringtones with sound effects, funny noises, movie and TV lines, sports moments and famous speeches. Voice Tones are customized ringtones with a celebrity voice or a funny message. Recently, Cingular expanded Voice Tones to include Name Ringers, which allows customers to select a recorded message that calls them by name when their wireless phone rings. Name Ringers is one more way Cingular lets customers add a personalized touch to their mobile experience.

Cingular Wireless subscribers currently can select, preview and download a wide variety of Super Tones, including Music Tones, Sound Tones and Voice Tones, using the web at http://www.cingularextras.com or directly from their phone by accessing the Wireless Internet. Music and Voice Tones cost $2.49 for each download. Once downloaded, ringtones can be used anytime, anywhere without expiration or incurring additional charges. Airtime or kilobyte charges apply during the selection and download process.

The premiere Music Tones-capable phones currently include the Nokia 3300, Nokia 3600, Nokia 3650 and Motorola V400 wireless phones. Additional Music Tones compatible phones will be launched throughout the year.
