The first Arab to win the International Emmy Awards, Awamleh's presence at the screening in Cinestar Cinemas added verve to the event, much to the delight of the audience, comprised of students and press.

During his first-ever visit to Dubai, Awamleh expressed excitement over the first public screening of his work in Dubai. Sharing his experience in filmmaking, he addressed the queries of students from the SAE Institute at Dubai Knowledge Village.

The SAE Institute frequently invites renowned industry leaders to draw upon their expertise for the benefit of its students and the industry at large. The screening of Al Igtiyah was aimed at inspiring SAE students to acquire valuable insight into every aspect of film production from award winning industry professionals.

Awadeh said, 'SAE's world class facilities and top caliber faculty will no doubt contribute to creating the most talented individuals from this region. The landscape today is very different from my first job as a camera assistant when I was only 17 years old. Professional training is an imperative must to achieve success.

'I'm glad Al Igtiyagh has received positive feedback from the East and West alike. Putting a human face to the Palestinian conflict has attracted a lot of attention because of the appeal of humanizing Arabs on television and in the media,' he added.

Awamleh set up Arab Telemedia Productions in 1983, and has been producing large-scale drama productions aired to Arab households across the world for the past 26 years. These productions have earned numerous awards at Arab festivals. Last year, Al Igtiyah competed against nominations from Brazil, Argentina and Russia, to win the International Emmy Award.

On behalf of Arab Telemedia Productions, Adnan received the Al Hussein Decoration for Distinguished Contribution to Jordan's production industry, given to him in an official ceremony in Amman by His Majesty King Abdullah in February, 2009.

SAE Institute is the world's largest creative media and communications technology education provider. With campuses in Dubai, Amman, and Kuwait, in addition to 49 international campuses around the world, SAE offers courses in the field of film making, 3D animation, multimedia and web design, as well as audio engineering.
