SYMETRIX ADDS NEW ROOM COMBINE 788 TO POPULAR INTEGRATOR SERIES

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON - JUNE 2008: Symetrix, a leading provider of audio signal processing solutions for the commercial, broadcast, and studio markets, announces the release of the Room Combine 788, the latest addition to its Integrator Series line of products.

The Integrator Series now consists of four purpose-built processors, and is based on Symetrix' SymNet platform for network audio DSP.

As its name suggests, the Room Combine 788 is the complete solution for combining up to eight microphones and four background music (BGM) sources in as many as eight different rooms. It can be used in hotels, banquet halls, schools, conference venues, or any facility where dynamic allocation of space is required. In addition to providing full input processing, automatic mixing, and complete loudspeaker management, the unit allows easy assignment of microphones and BGM into various spaces in predetermined combinations.

All Integrator Series products are designed to be straightforward in installation and operation. They employ a Windows(r) software application (Vista and XP) for control and setup. The setup process is simplified by the use of Wizards for IP connection and remote wall panel programming. New to the 788, users can create a graphical layout of the rooms in the facility. This allows the system integrator to tailor the functionality of the system to the venue by defining which adjacent and non-adjacent spaces may be combined.

User control is a crucial aspect of any system, and the 788 handles this responsibility beautifully. Room combinations can be recalled from the unit's front panel, one or more of the ARC family of wall panels (sold separately), third-party control systems, or through contact closures attached to moving walls. The ARC-SWK is the recommended choice for in-room control. This wall panel, when deployed in each room, gives users source select and local/BGM volume control that remains synchronous as rooms are combined and uncombined.

For paging, the 788 allows one microphone input to be designated as a paging input, which will always be available for page announcements into any and all areas.

"What we have here is a turnkey room combine solution that is powerful, flexible, easy to operate, and priced right," stated Dane Butcher, president of Symetrix. "It couples extensive processing options with sophisticated system control that is very straightforward in operation, even for non-technical users."

The Room Combine 788 is available through the Symetrix dealer network of system integrators. To learn more about Symetrix, the Integrator Series, SymNet, or to find an integrator in your area, go to Symetrix Audio.
