SOUNDELUX ADDS NEW LOGO TO ITS VINTAGE-INSPIRED MICROPHONES

This content is brought to you by Audiocourses dot com

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: While the Soundelux name has traditionally been overshadowed by the rich, classic sound of its microphones, the company is now putting its brand front and center with the introduction of a new Soundelux logo.

The new logo features a stylized 'S' on a silver crest. The art deco-inspired design evokes the Soundelux commitment to re-creating the sounds of some of the world's most famous studio microphones from across the decades. The new logo will appear across the entire Soundelux line, giving the family a bold, new look that reflects the bold performance within.

The secret behind Soundelux is David Bock, a highly experienced studio technician and designer of audio that cut his teeth working in such places as Hit Factory and Oceanway. For studios like these, the in-house microphone collection is perhaps their most important asset, and one that needs constant maintenance as it is usually made up of 20, 30 or even 40-year-old microphones.

David's experience working on these old microphones again and again, listening to critical differences between them and why one sounds different than another (in very good rooms with top quality preamps) is what makes him unique among mic designer/manufacturers. The Soundelux goal is to restore the sounds of these older microphone to their rightful place in the studio by creating a sonic equal that's reliable yet affordable.

"Our dream is to create a complete set of re-issue mics that cover all the most important bases in microphone history," Bock says. "Soundelux is poised to become the vintage mic source for studio owners who want the complete array of 'proven mic sounds' (251, 47, 67, etc.) but cannot reasonably base an hourly billable business around the performance of 30 to 50 year old microphones."

Brad Lunde of TransAudio Group, Soundelux' U.S. distributor comments, "David Bock has hit home runs with every re-issued mic he has come up with. And while a new logo may not enhance the microphone's performance, it is certainly the customer's guarantee that the elusive sound from a bygone era is now within their grasp."

Transamerica Audio Group, founded by industry veteran Brad Lunde, has quickly become the premier U.S. importer/distributor for high-end audio. Success hinges on Transamerica providing users with technical expertise extending far beyond the norm. Transamerica AG's product lines include A Designs (USA), AEA ribbon microphones (USA), Apex (Belgium), ATC Loudspeakers (UK), Brauner (Germany), Drawmer (UK), Geoffrey Daking & Co. (USA), George Massenburg Labs (GML) (USA), Mission Audio (UK) Phoenix Audio (UK) Soundelux (USA), SoundField (UK), and Z-Systems (USA).
