Over 200,714 loans have been made since the programme began in 1988.
In the year ending 31st March 2004:
17,331 loans were taken out;
£73.88 million was borrowed;
42% of courses funded were full-time;
22% of courses funded were distance learning;
36% of courses were part-time.
