A Masterful Mastering

Voxengo is pleased to introduce a new PC VST plug-in called Sonic Finalizer. This plug-in is certainly an innovative mastering tool for DAWs that allows to finalize sonic structure of any sound material. Many tests revealed that even a professionally mastered tracks available in CD shops can be adjusted by Sonic Finalizer delivering a new level of sonic excellence to them.

The main idea behind Sonic Finalizer is a spectral balance. A perfectly balanced mix can be seen on the spectrum analyzer as a spectral curve with a down slope towards the high end. There can be some deviations from this rule, but generally it is always fulfilled (at least higher frequencies are most of the time less powerful than lower frequencies). Sonic Finalizer by means of compression adaptively adjusts spectral balance of any sound material being processed in a way so that its spectral curve fulfills the forementioned rule. Thus Sonic Finalizer can be also called a spectral compressor.

For simplicity Sonic Finalizer has only two blocks of compression controls. One block is called "Low End" and its settings affect lower frequencies. The other block is called "High End" and it affects higher frequencies of the spectrum. Settings for middle frequencies will be interpolated.

Sonic Finalizer implements both compression and expanding allowing a variety of different sound structures to be created. This includes classical tape compression, inobtrusive bass expansion, general mix compression. And it all sounds pristine! One can say that Sonic Finalizer brings a classical warm analog compression to a digital workstation. This is true, because even at a very subtle compression settings Sonic Finalizer brings a strong feel of a professionally balanced mix. In fact, Sonic Finalizer allows to perform mastering even in a budget environment. Spectral balance is almost an universal thing and every mastering engineer has to master it while Sonic Finalizer brings it easy way. Sonic Finalizer's adjustments of the spectral balance actually reveral details of the mix being processed.

Features:
* Innovative spectral compression technology
* "A-to-B" comparisons
* Factory presets (where available)
* Mono -> Stereo, Stereo -> Stereo processing modes
* 44.1k and 48k sample rates supported
* Highly optimized DSP
* 64-bit internal precision
