New York, NY October 27, 2004 - Novel Records, an independent record label focused on electronic and pop-techno music, is pleased to announce the release of “Morning People”, the first full length record from Neology.

For a band that seems more interested in nostalgia than in bold innovation, Neology could be considered an ironic name. But it’s also a declaration of optimism, a philosophy that old ideas don’t lose their value, especially if they can be presented in a new context.

Neology has spent the past twenty years in a cocoon-like state, absorbing a wide range of musical influences, polishing his creative and technical skills on smaller projects. Now he has finally decided to emerge and start producing more complete, thematic collections of material.

“Morning People” is the first in a series of these musical trips, celebrating a new perspective on life, as well as paying tribute to the past.

This record merges electronic and techno beats, pop melodies and vocals, along with loungy grooves, to form a collection of songs that take you on a musical journey unlike any other heard in years. From the wall shaking beats of “Subway Blues” to the soothing ambient sounds of “Awake”; from the hypnotic vocals of “Maya’s Song” to the industrial techno sounds of the lighting paced “Static”, this record is sure to have something for everyone who enjoys a wide variety of electronic music.

"...The sounds are both textured and defined and the samples are always appropriate. The beats err not on the side of gut-wrenching fatness but of high bpm, always with enough depth and melody to keep you listening. The tracks segue together perfectly, creating cohesive listening despite the differences in tone. Like a grab bag of electronic styles, there’s something here for all." -- Ra Larden, CDReviews.com
