Foster City, CA - Live365, the largest internet radio network, announced today that it has partnered with several leading independent music providers, including Digital Musicworks International (DMI), INgrooves, I AM Music Online, and Nimbit.

As a result, Live365’s broadcasting community will be able to select from a larger array of independent music for station programming. These music providers, in turn, can leverage Live365’s online DJs for promotional exposure.

“With these new relationships, we can provide our broadcasters with a deeper pool of great independent music,” said David Porter, Director of Business Development for Live365. “We are committed to working with labels and other music distributors to deliver new music to our broadcasters and listeners.”

Digital Musicworks International will provide over 10,000 titles to Live365 from its roster that includes Rock/Pop Icon Dwight Twilley and former Candlebox guitarist Peter Klett’s new band, redlightmusic. “DMI is excited to work with Live365 because it gives music fans the opportunity to listen to and enjoy the wide array of music and artists in the DMI roster and catalog,” said Mitch Koulouris, CEO of DMI.

INgrooves has serviced over 1,000 titles to Live365 from its catalogue of top-shelf dance, electronic, hip-hop and R&B/soul music. “INgrooves is emerging as the leading digital record label so it makes sense that we team with the largest internet radio broadcaster, Live365, to bring great new music to thousands of fans’” said Robb McDaniels, CEO of INgrooves. “Live365 provides an ideal promotional partner for our expanding catalogue of artists and independent labels.”

I AM Music Online has provided hundreds of tracks from select acts from their Gospel, Jazz, Spoken Word, Latin and R&B repertoire. “Live365 has proven to be a direct portal to the Black and Hispanic radio audience,"' says Jun Mhoon, CEO of I AM Music Online. "We use Live365 to market I AM's artists and labels to consumers that visit our site. People are growing bored with terrestrial radio and Live365 provides a great alternative and great variety for them. We love it.”

Nimbit, a company providing web services to independent musicians, along with CDFreedom, an online retailer for indie acts, are developing a new radio station featuring both national and unsigned acts. NBT Radio (www.nbtradio.net), which will be part of the Live365 network, will serve as a gateway for emerging artists to gain increased online exposure. All Nimbit and CDFreedom clients will be eligible to submit their music to the station for airplay. The highest rated tracks based on listener feedback will “advance to the next level,” receiving premiere placement in the Live365 Library for distribution to its entire network of broadcasters.

“This is a central component of the way we see indie music promotion evolving,” said Nimbit President Patrick Faucher. “As mainstream radio becomes more homogenized, Internet radio is rapidly becoming an important way to get exposure, as more and more listeners are turning to online programming to find new music.”
