Oneness Music’s newest artist, Unique Starr, comes from the heart of
Bed Stuy, NY, to quench your thirst for knowledge, versatility, and God-given
talent. Inspired by veteran rapper, LL Cool J, Unique Starr caught the attention
of Oneness Music’s CEO, Ross Jordan.
“I was impressed by his style, class, and sheer musical talent”,
says Ross. “Listening to his lyrics made me realize that this artist has
a positive message for young people.”
Unique’s lyrics resonate in the soul while uplifting the mind and spirit
toward positivity.
A military veteran, Unique Starr has been around the world, seen it all, and
is here to tell young people there is a better life than what gangster rap is
promoting. A father of 5 boys, Unique Starr feels that it is his calling to
show a more positive side to life than just over-exposed body parts and spending
hard earned money on jewelry, cars, and drugs.
Being underground for over 12 years has humbled Unique Starr and he knows
it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to last in this game.
His debut album, to be released this month, features club tracks as well as
positive songs containing powerful life lessons that people of all ages can
easily relate to and understand.
The first single entitled, “Unique Starr”, drops Friday, March
11th!
Unique Starr explains, “my music is real positive compared to what’s
out now”. He says that his style and lyrics are a mix of Mase and KRS-One.
Unique Starr believes that he doesn’t need to use profanity and negative
themes in his lyrics to get his message across.
Instead of glorifying the thug life, he fills his music with morals and values
as a way to reach the American youth.
