Nokia Melody
We all know this don’t we?
It’s a sweet melody for a ringtone having been around for about 10 years, but where did it come from?
Francisco Tárrega (1852-1909) the spanish born classical guitarist, said to be one of the most influential guitarist of all time, considered by many to be the father of the modern classical guitar, wrote a piece for classical guitar called “Gran Vals“.
The notation of the melody has a section in there which looks like so:
