The World Today
This is how the world is looking today from a weather satellite which is at a geostationary altitude (36,000 km above the equator) revolving around theearth in 24 hours, matching the rotation period of the earth, and thus, maintaining its position over the same region of the earth.

This is part of the CIMSS project.
We may well be taking a closer look with some further imagery soon and fine-tuning into locations of where some of our students are currently studying hard.
