Barbados Update
Hi all!
I am taking the course City & Guilds 1820 London Sound Engineering Part 3 plus the Digital Audio Operations and I can tell you, thats a tough one.
I want to share an interesting project with you. I am Swedish and I have been living in Barbados for two years. One day I walked into a music shop and the shop owner turned out to be a producer.
To make a long story short he asked me if I wanted to do a song for an album he was working on for Crop Over (Barbados Carnival). So he passed me a rhythm which the whole album was going to be based on. I accepted and off I go to my home studio with the "Mirchi Rydm", without a clue whatsoever of Bajan music.
So I listened to the rhythm over and over and started to mess around with it. Out came Polarman! Its a crazy mix of Soca, Bhangra and Rave…East meets West and North meets South kinda thing. Even the frogs and the crickets from my garden are in the song.
Have fun and listen to Polarman. I did have fun working with it and it sure sounds different.
And yeah…..I sing the high voice as well.
