We all know this don’t we?

Resident Beaver

Michael J. Lahaie is our resident Canadian Beaver expert, stemming from ValCaron, Ontario Canada, Mike is an expert in all things Beaver related.

Truth is we named the 2003 Cohort of City & Guild Sound Engineering Part 3 Course the “Beaver Cohort“, all thanks to Mike’s wonderful beaver insights.

Beavers are semi-aquatic rodents, relatively small gnawing animals having a single pair of constantly growing incisor teeth specialized for gnawing.

Today, you can see the Canadian beaver on the back of the Canadian 5 cent coin, and on coats of arms representing a few of Canada’s provinces. On provincial coats of arms, the beaver generally represents Canada, or national unity.

A small, tasty, sugar-coated pastry is called a Beaver Tail (sometimes spelled Beavertail, in one word). It can be found mostly in the Ottawa area.
