Audio School With Audio Conferencing

Tuesday, June 7th, 2005

We are now up and running with Skype, in order to bring a dedicated global telephone system into our communication channels.

Skype is a free Internet telephony package which enables for calling other people on their phones and/or computers as well as recieving.

Downloading and installing Skype could not be easier, and once you have it installed you can dial up colleagues immediately and start talking one-to-one, or in a group conference. We were fairly impressed with the ease of use and added feautures the system brings.

Audiocourses.com has the skype username of, you guessed it, “audiocourses“, and the dedicated tel number of: +44 02078714760, which is available immediately.

Already we are recieving calls through our Skype number which though appears to be a fixed line, is in fact portable and can be taken anywhere in the world, yet further enhancing accessibility for staff and students.

When an Audiocourses.com operator is not available the voice mail will kick-in and a message can be left for staff to respond to at a later date, just like regular “Old-Skool” phone systems.

We have also begun holding group audio conferences and will be publishing many of these to students of the school.

It’s groovy!
