Ideas and Suggestions - Forums

Wednesday, May 3rd, 2006

It’s often the times when we are doing very unrelated things that creative ideas come into our heads, those really unique ideas that are destined to become the ‘new’ best thing, or fail miserably.

One of my good thinking times is when I drive, just this week I attended a conference entitled ‘Skilling For Games: What the industry wants’, a forum panel contructed of some of the leading figures in the games world including, Saga, Sony and Electronic Arts, to name a few. It was the road trip back, though not particularly long, that my mind was racing away into creative thoughts, those times when you don’t even remember the trip once your destination has arrived.

I sometimes use a portable recorder and start talking to it, as it can be essential to keep these little gems which may well turn into something great.

Perhaps you have ideas and suggestions too, please do share in our forum for this, come and have your say.

Site Searching

Sunday, August 21st, 2005

You know we have such a vast amount of articles on site these days which continues to grow, finding it can be tricky, but with some cool tools you should be set to go.

The two areas for search are this one: http://www.audiocourses.com/search.html which will search the complete site, try “Audio Compression” as an example and you’ll get back around 1,140 results, not bad huh?

The other search fucntion we have is for the forums only and can be really useful for digging deep into the forum threads to extract the stuff you really need. You can use that facility here: http://www.audiocourses.com/forums-search.html You can search for keywords, authors, forums and categories with accurate and plentiful results.

Give it a go on “School Dinners”, - no really, don’t.

Forum Watch

Wednesday, June 29th, 2005

Getting your way around a site can be a steep learning curve these days and we thought that if there is at least one tip we should give you it is the

“watch this topic for replies”.

Watch what topic? Watch the forum topics of your choice, you can dive into any of the forums you are interested in and find a link at the bottom left of the page.

Watch the topics on the forums to recieve instant notifications

If you click that link you will then be in a process of automatic notifications, essentially sending you an e-mail informing that the thread has been updated.
