i just installed the emu 1820m and i cant seem the get any of the programs i use to reconize it..altho it did come with cubase vst 5.0 but i dont know how to use that..........altho i did get it to work on acid 4.0 but it continues to crash on there.......i really wanted it to work with cool edit cuz its soo easy to use.. any how if anybody has had this same problem or would happen to be able to help me please respond back
Most important select the right drivers "emu asio" in your audio aplication also right click on the emu icon on the desk top tool bar & read the help files ,there is a bit of settiing up to do but once you get the hang of it ,it really is a fad card .I HAVE THE 1820m with the emu('')emulator x sampler very good 1 month in & still learning.

Hi all!
I'm glad to see someone else having an E-MU 1820. I got mine about two months ago. Still having problems with it...
I use the emu drivers but i can't get rid of some latency when recording. I work on an album with a rock-band at the moment and we are recording the vocals and overdubs.
Now here's the problem: when laying vox to the previously recorded tracks it has som latency on the recorded track so the vocals lag, compared to the rest. What should I do? Increase buffer size, decrease, alter other settings...?
I hope someone has an answer. Thanks!
