Need some major help in converting/synthesizing very old Slavic songs from sheet music form into accurate Church Bell "rung" sounds to be played during Holiday Mass. Synthesized keyboard bells sound very artificial and custom Carillon/actual Church Bell recordings start at over $1,000 per song - we have a total budget of $100 for the year which includes fixing the air conditioner let alone Church Bell recordings. I have recordings of single bell tolls from Churches in Ukraine and was wondering if it's possible to "extract" the necessary notes/sounds from that one bell recording by pitch shifting? - how? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

HI
Yes it is possible, you just need a sampler, and a microphone.
Are you working with any software currently, such as virtual samplers or MIDI equipment?
You need to record some good source material, the more original pitched bells the better. You can then map these across the keyzones in a sampler and trigger them with a midi keyboard. For the pitches you cannot record, you can use the sampler to pitch shift for you. _________________ It's all in the ears. - Learn the concepts not the software.
