can i have 2 sound cards on my machine??  Reply with quote  

i need to use vienna sound font but cant because apparenlyt need a sound blaster card ad i have Sound Max digital audio...

can i get a sound blaster card and have them both on my machine or does anyone know away around this problem

Hi,
There should be no problem if you connect two sound cards. Except when using Windows under the sound options you will have to specify which sound card has to be used for Windows.
But if you have an audio software that can run with two sound cards (or more), you can run the both at the same time from the audio software.
Why not try out other softwares if you can, instead of buying a new sound card, you could buy another softare. Just my suggestion.

But two sound cards on a computer shudn't be much of a problem.

is the first sound card u have built into the motherboard? if it is u can disable it buy going in to your bios, usually by hitting F2 F9 F12 ESC, the second u turn on the computer
