| Oh where, oh where, has my onboard soundcard gone? |
|
|
Hi Guys
I just installed an audiophile 2496, and it works great except for one thing, it has removed all traces of my onboard soundcard....
I want to use the audiophile for working on audio stuff, but want to use my onboard 5.1 card (standard Realtek AC97 job) for general music playback
But it has disappeared from all menu's both in audio software and windows.
Thanks for the help

Hi,
Did you try reinstalling the onboard sound card's driver? Maybe there was some conflict between the audiophile drivers and the onboard sound card's. |

This is wierd!
Did you check through the manual of the audiophile to see if it has any known hardware conflicts? |

Yup, ive even tried moving the card to a different PCI slot, in case there was an IRQ conflict. But No, still the same. _________________ If In Doubt...Hit It With a Hammer, If Still In Doubt... Find a Bigger Hammer. |
