If you're looking for something really quality then i can recommend a dvd I bought from Drum Drops. They do a good line in getting big name drummers (like Keith Leblanc from the Sugarhill Gang, Style Scott from the Roots Radics) and recording them on vintage equipment through an analogue desk. There's some sweet sounds going on there - really authentic and old - and a range of styles - rock, funk, reggae - and they do them in multitrack and sample formats. Far as I know, they work with pretty much all programs.
check them out and have a listen. www.drumdrops.com. Best package I've bought.
Good luck! |

If you're into guitar-y retro rock and pop - the SessionLoops disc with Simon Phillips is well worth a listen. The loops sound really fat, plus they're organized in song folders so they're really easy to use and build drum tracks quickly and easily. There's some previews and samples at their website.

Hi,
You could try www.naturalstudio.co.uk . The beats are quite realistic there. I use them.
They are free and with a bit of fiddling with the eq they can sound better. |
