Week 11 - The End is Nigh....  Reply with quote

Ok, so the questions are over.

As in RT, this week would be a good opportunity to reflect on what you've experienced and learnt throughout the last 11 weeks.

It would also be nice for you all to have an attempt at putting some of the ideas in practice.

As mentioned in the last 2 workshops, parallel compression would be a good place to start.

Also, we touched on the modulation matrix in neutron in yesterdays workshop.

How about creating a tremolo sound? a wah sound? How would you acheive this with the LFO?

This thread would also be a good place to share any MT resources that will help your fellow students.

Finally, I'd like to congratulate everyone on getting this far and keeping up a high standard of answers - pat on the back to you all! Very Happy

Hi guys,
Just a thought here about the exams coming up.
Gathering your information ready for exams. This is a practical suggestion that I use to stop frustration when looking for a specific piece of information on a subject. Many of you will already know this but may not be using it.

This may be of help to those who are going to study in front of the computer screen. What I have done is gathered all the questions and answers to MT together and pasted each week into a single document called, you guessed it, “AUDIO COURSES MT QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS”. When I open this document up, all the questions and answers are there. The beauty of this is, if you need to look up something, for example, VCO, you can use the “find” function on your keyboard to go straight there. So, for the above, I just press “Ctrl f”, up comes the find screen, type in “VCO” then press “return” or “enter”. The computer goes to the first VCO section in the document and highlights it. Press either “Return” or “Enter” again and it goes to the next VCO section. You can skip through hundreds of pages in a matter of seconds with this function. Much overlooked this. Obviously, this works with any text so, full questions etc. Saves you scrolling all the time to find certain questions and answers.

Hope this suggestion helps.
