I've seen alot of what's the best (Bit of gear) questions.
I thought i might ask you all........
"What mix buss compressor do you use and why?"[b]
I'll use either a Funk Logic RNC or a Behringer Tube Composer.
The RNC is fast and sonically quite invisable, the tube composer puts the breaks on a little smoother again. But with a little less tops and bottoms. (Wich is sometimes a good thing) I'd love to do some mods to this unit.
The real reason i am using these is because i can't afford a vintage Neve. They sound so very luscious.

Only for tracking and mixdown sometimes i'll opt not to use either if it's destroying the mix too much.

Sounds to me like a sensible way to go, it can all to easily get destroyed. You work with a particular type of music or is it a wide ranging field? _________________ It's all in the ears. - Learn the concepts not the software.
