hi my name is Bez can anyone help me i need a chart of the audio bandwidth with all the insruments in thier correct place ie bass drum snare hi hat guitars etc can anybody help me ?

hi mike o hara thanx for the info on the audio bandwidth but i dont understand it says things like 3kHZ and 7kHZ but the chart only shows up to 3950 hz can you help again ?

Yeah, the charts basically show the fundamental frequencies of each pitch.

However, pitched sounds in general consist of a fundamental frequency plus a series of harmonics, which give the sound it's tone and character.

So the higher frequencies (i.e. those above 3k-4k) would mostly consist of harmonics.

Does that make sense?

yes thanx that i understand so back to the original question is thier or do you know where i can get a full eq chart like the one you directed me to that is a great help by the way so that when i am mixing i can tell at a glance what i wont hey mark thanx for the help if you have any other useful info dont forget me lueago

To be frank you are better of training your ears to recognise this stuff... then you won't be mixing with your eyes, if you get me.. ?

thanx for the advice mark and thanx for your help i dont use software all my equipment is outboard i have a 64 track digital studio i write and record songs and play all the instruments see ya
