hi my name is Bez can anybody tell me about reverb & delay how to use them ie on vocals guitars ect & whats the difference? |

Reverb
is a summation of all the early reflections within an environment. Basically put, a sound source will bounce off the walls and reflect back a little later than the first initial sound. This creates a simulation of "space".
Delay
is when the ear hears a completely distinct seperate sound, so for this to happen the time between the initial sound and the reflection needs to be greater than around 40ms (milli seconds, 0.04 seconds).
Both occur naturally in life and both can be created artificially.

hi i didnt ask what reverb & delay were i asked how to use them ie how many miliy secounds of delay should you use on a track with a tempo of 120 b p m if you dont know the answer can you put me on to someone who does? i dont use softwear |

You asked in your original post "whats the difference" so I told you.
Regarding the other bit, there is no rules, you add each to your taste.
If you want delays to be in time you simply add them in so they have a fractional relationship with the BPM.
