RT Exam Just Finished  Reply with quote

Just finished my RT exam. Some of the questions were a little tricky but I managed to answer all of them so I’m, shall we say, quietly confident. It was strange seeing questions that I had not seen before, (such as: Some conductors sing/hum when conducting, how will this affect microphone placement: or words to that effect) but again, with a little thought you can get the picture!
So overall, I don’t think that I could have done any better (even if I had the paper in my hands right now and did the exam all over again). So I’m pleased with how I did.
Hope everyone did well.
Just one more exam to go (MT tomorrow). Good luck to everyone who is taking it!

Well, One down one to go. RT did keep me occupied long enough to cramp up. Spell check aside I couldn't feel my hand after the end of it. I feel pretty good about it, answered all of the questions with the best of my abilities.
Hopefully the translations will look like I do speak English as my first language.
On to MT tomorrow.

Good luck to all the MT candidates.

Cheers

Well, that’s it, MT Exam is over as well now. The exam went quite well. Answered all the questions (hopefully most will be correct). Again, I’m confident.
I almost ran out of time! I made notes of the answers in the back of my answer booklet. But I then took a little too much time writing out the answers to the first few questions. I looked at my watch and saw that I had around 45 minutes left to complete the paper and I had only just finished question 6.
It’s funny how you can panic in this type of situation (well, maybe funny is not the right word but you know what I mean).
Anyway, no problem, I wrote like mad and finally finished with 3 minutes to go.
The exam took place in the student common room at the local college. I was there with students taking various other exams, English etc. There were probably around 60-70 of us there on each of the two days. I was the only one at this college taking C&G (RT & MT).
The exam started at 9.30am. As you all know, it’s a 3 hour sitting. I really got tucked in on MT. When I’d finished, I turned around (I was at the front of the class) and everyone else had gone. They told me I had been sitting there, working away by myself for the last hour!
So, alls well that ends well. Here’s hoping I (and everyone else on the course) have passed.

Yep anothing in the done zone. I started off making notes and points and like John said, turned around and holy "insert favorite curse" I was running low on time. Some questions were plain simple and to the point so I answered them that way. Almost verbatum from my point form first scan notes on scrap paper. Others I hope I did not miander to the point where examiner needs to have a couple Red Bull to see the light.

Cheers to all

Hope the Pass master touches us all.

Later

Paul

Congratulations to the first class of 2005  Reply with quote

Hi Guys,
Well, we did it! The first class of 2005. Everyone passed his or her exams. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL. I was over the moon with my results (I got a credit in Advanced Recording Techniques and a distinction in Music Technology). This result was obviously what I had hoped for but much better than what I had expected.
Thanks to Chris and Ben for the help and support (we kept up the 100% pass rate record guys)!
Wishing everyone that took part good luck for the future and hope we all stay in touch.
