guitar EQ  Reply with quote  

I'm trying to e.q. my guitar. I just would like to know how other people like there guitars e.qed. What are good ranges to boost?

That would depend on you. What kind of sound are you looking for?
There is no real "set" EQ for my guitars. it depends on the song actually.

Natural Guitar EQ  Reply with quote  

It might be a good idea to EQ your guitar sound to get it as close as possible to what you hear when you are sitting there playing your guitar live. Then if you find its too bassy, remove some bass etc. etc.

How do i EQ this? is always an answerable question, if possible, post up a clip of the guitar sound somewhere so we can have a listen.

I feel that I always get a sound that is to tinny and I'm also looking for decent base. I'll try to post up some sound and see what you guys think.

This is good advice, but you didn't really answer it, what is the sound like before recording? Are you happy with that sound? I'm not even sure if you are recording the sound, perhaps you are wanting advice for amp sound?

If you are recording then trying to make a sound into something it is not already, well that's not easy.

Is your amp sound as you like it?
