Condenser mic - Working on PC mic-in, but nowhere else. HELP
Howzit anyone reading this,
I have a cheapish $140 condenser mic. When using it on my PC (using the mic input [Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum Pro]) I get to use the mic to it's full ability. No hassles here.
When connecting it to any type of other audio equipment, it doesn't want to produce a sound!! I tried Phantom power on a Yamaha mixer, but this does not work.
The mic has a screw-off bottom piece, and takes one AA size battery. I have tried it with a battery, but the same story applies - NO SOUND.
Why is this mic giving me sound in me sound-card but not anywhere else??

What microphone is it? You say it is battery powered? Some mics dont acutally work when you turn on phantom power and have a battery in it. This supposedly can damage it I believe. Would be handy if we knew what mic it was though. And also what "audio equipment" are you referring too?
